Hello there. I’ve got a sympathy card to share with you today, using the ferns stencil & dies designed by Hazel Eaton for Julie Hickey Designs. I’ve actually used a technique I picked up from Hazel with the fern stencil as well, thanks to the current challenge at Just Add Ink (I’ve used foliage &… Read More sympathy ferns
Welcome to my crafty blog – today I’ve got a CAS card to share with you using one of the ‘floral frames’ stamps by Julie Hickey. I haven’t used these stamps for a while, but they came straight to mind when I saw the theme of ‘small and few’ over at AAA cards. I’ve coloured… Read More floral frame
Welcome to my crafty blog and another Sunday dip back into Claritystamp’s craft club. This week, I’m back to September 2018 and the ‘willow tree’ stamp. Now, I often comment that I hadn’t used the club stamps until now, however I did have a good excuse back then for not using this one – I… Read More Claritystamp craft club lookback – willow tree #143
Hello crafty friends. Welcome to day 4 of my 12 Dies of Clarity personal challenge, and today it’s the turn of the ‘frilly embellishments’ dies designed by Linda Williams. These would obviously work well with parchment, but I’ve used them with cardstock to make sentiment toppers for my cards. For the first card, I attached… Read More 12 Dies of Clarity day 4 – frilly embellishments
Welcome to my crafty blog. I’m back on track with my weekly forays into Claritystamp’s new design club back catalogue, but this week I’ve had a bit of a jump forward – I dropped out of the club for a year and picked it up again at the beginning of 2017. Today’s card uses the… Read More Claritystamp new design club lookback – rose vase #123
Welcome to my crafty blog. Today I’ve been playing with the ‘painted poppies’ set from Stampin’ Up! I do love poppies and I think they work well on sympathy cards, which is what I’ve done with this one. I’ve taken inspiration from a couple of this week’s challenges for the card: I’ve used the theme… Read More painted poppies
Welcome to my crafty blog. It felt appropriate to share a sympathy card today, on a sombre day in the UK following the death of HRH The Duke of Edinburgh. He was renowned for not liking ‘fuss’, so here’s a very clean and simple card using stamps and dies from Julie Hickey Designs. I took… Read More fresh floral sympathy
Welcome to my crafty blog. I’m back with another card that can be used for someone going through difficult times, and there are sadly too many of them at present. I’ve used the hydrangea from Stampin Up!’s ‘Beautiful Friendship’ set, and went for a blue colour scheme. Hydrangeas come in a gorgeous range of lilacs,… Read More Our thoughts are with you
Welcome to my crafty blog. Just a quick post tonight, with another sympathy card (I’m needing to make too many of these at present). I turned to an old favourite – the Stampin Up! ‘Flourishing Phrases’ set which is now retired, and used the colours from this week’s Color Throwdown challenge (http://www.colorthrowdown.blogspot.com) I started by… Read More Sympathy spray
Welcome to my crafty blog. I’m back with another sympathy card today (replenishing my stock which is sadly depleted). I’ve gone for a very simple design, keeping it really stripped back, inspired by this week’s theme over at TGIF Challenges http://www.tgifchallenges.blogspot.com I’ve used the ‘Poppies’ unmounted clear stamp set from Claritystamp, and started by simply… Read More Simple sympathy
