Welcome to my crafty blog and a card with a new stamp set that arrived earlier this week – Stampin’ Up!’s ‘delicate dahlias’. I’ve been using quite a few of my older sets recently after tidying my craft shelves, so thought I’d ring the changes with this one. I took the layout from the current… Read More dahlias
Welcome to my crafty blog. Today’s card is a return to one of my favourite sets – the retired ‘beautiful friendship’ from Stampin’ Up! This time I’ve chosen to just use the lilac flowers from the set, inspired by the photo at Just Us Girls. I’ve teamed it up with Joanne’s sketch from The Paper… Read More lilac birthday
Welcome to my crafty blog. Today’s card has got some rather unusual holly on it – I decided to use autumn colours, and I have to say I quite like the effect! I was inspired to try this by the photo on this week’s Inspired by challenges and the layout of the leaves immediately made… Read More autumn holly?
Welcome to my crafty blog. It’s Sunday so here’s the next in my personal challenge working back though my issues of Clarity’s new design club stamps. This week it’s the labradors from February 2017, who are getting an first outing. I always avoided these kind of stamps in the past, as I found it difficult… Read More Claritystamp new design club lookback – labradors #124
Welcome to my crafty blog and the next letter in the Alphabet challenge. We’re now on to M and Melanie has asked us to include a motivational or encouraging sentiment on our cards. I’ve gone with this simple sentiment from Stampin’ Up!’s ‘lovely you’ set ( I thought this would work well as a get… Read More M for motivation/encouragement
Welcome to my crafty blog. Today’s card is for my son’s birthday – although he’s now in his thirties, he was obsessed with dinosaurs when he was small so I just couldn’t resist going for a card that I’ve based on the Jurassic Park films logo, using Stampin’ Up!’s ‘no bones about it’ set. I’ve… Read More a Jurassic birthday!
Welcome to my crafty blog and a birthday card using autumn colours that a friend asked me to make for her daughter. I’ve CASE’d (copy and selectively edit) a design from Julie Hickey that I did in one of her online classes, so obviously have used her stamps for this (it would have been rude… Read More autumn flowers
Welcome to my crafty blog and a card inspired by the current theme of ‘brave’ at Time Out challenges. I’ve teamed the ‘happy birday’ set from Claritystamp with the ‘brave and strong’ sentiment from Visible Image (and used another background from my stash in the process!) I started with a stamped background I found in… Read More be brave
Welcome to my crafty blog. I’m back on track with my weekly forays into Claritystamp’s new design club back catalogue, but this week I’ve had a bit of a jump forward – I dropped out of the club for a year and picked it up again at the beginning of 2017. Today’s card uses the… Read More Claritystamp new design club lookback – rose vase #123
Welcome to my crafty blog. I’m a bit late posting this tonight – it’s been a busy old day! I wanted to try out a technique I picked up at an online class I did earlier this week with Joanne James – using bleach to change the colour of card stock. I started with a… Read More a bleached leaf!
