Welcome to my crafty blog. Today’s card is a return to one of my favourite sets – the retired ‘beautiful friendship’ from Stampin’ Up! This time I’ve chosen to just use the lilac flowers from the set, inspired by the photo at Just Us Girls. I’ve teamed it up with Joanne’s sketch from The Paper Players and the ‘hexagons’ theme from Less is More

I took the liberty of flipping the sketch for the mirror image, and started by masking off a panel down the right hand side of a 5×5 card blank with loe tack tape. I stamped the lilac spray randomly down the panel in ‘shaded lilac’ Distress Oxide and added the leaves in ‘mowed lawn’.

I then used Julie Hickey’s hexagon frames set to die cut three small ones in white card and stamped the lilac onto each of them, before attaching them to the card front.

I added the sentiment from SU’s ‘art gallery’ set in the ‘mowed lawn’ together with a set of leaves which I fussy cut before gluing them on.

Thanks for dropping in. I know lilac’s not in season right now, but it’s so pretty who cares?!
Love how you took the sketch and used the elements of the side on your shapes too! Have a great rest of your week and thanks for joining us at The Paper Players!
