Welcome to my crafty blog. Today’s card is for my son’s birthday – although he’s now in his thirties, he was obsessed with dinosaurs when he was small so I just couldn’t resist going for a card that I’ve based on the Jurassic Park films logo, using Stampin’ Up!’s ‘no bones about it’ set. I’ve used the layout from this week’s Global Design Project and I thought it also fits the theme of ‘retro’ from Inskpirational

I started with a piece of black card and stamped the sentiment from SU’s ‘perennial birthday’ onto it, heat embossing it with WOW’s bright white powder. I then mounted it onto gold card and attached it to the front of a 5×5 card blank.

I die cut two circles of red card and stamped the T Rex skeleton onto them using black Archival ink. I matted them onto circles of gold card and attached them to the card front.

I finished by adding a couple of leaves cut in gold card from the ‘forever flourishing’ set,

I hope I’ve done the Jurassic Park logo justice (my son will definitely tell me whether I have!!). Here’s the original so you can decide for yourself.
So clever – I’ll bet your son loved it!
