Welcome to my crafty blog. I’m now up to September 2013 in my weekly lookback through the Claritystamp new design club since I first joined at the end of 2012. This week it’s the turn of the ammonite stamp that was #83. I think I might have used this once when I first got it,… Read More Clarity new design club lookback – ammonite #83
Welcome to my crafty blog. I’ve been playing again with the lovely ‘sweet daisy’ stamp set from Julie Hickey Designs – I just love the clean, graphic style of these stamps. Today’s card picks up inspiration from a couple of blog challenges – the colours are from Color Throwdown and the design reflects the layout… Read More a daisy triplet
Welcome to my crafty blog. There seem to be a lot of hummingbirds around on cards at the moment, so I thought I’d join the party with this card I made for my sister’s birthday earlier this week. (Happy Birthday, Cath!) I’ve used the Stampin’ Up! ‘a touch of ink’ set, which was in this… Read More hummingbird birthday
Welcome to my crafty blog. Today’s card uses a Claritystamp that I first came across a number of years ago, on one of the annual retreats led by Barbara Gray. Clarity have re-released it, and I picked the set up in the recent members’ sale. I thought it would make a great masculine card, and… Read More tall trees
Welcome to my crafty blog. Today’s card is a bit of a special one – my ‘outlaws’ are celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary! (They’re known as the ‘outlaws’ as I’m not married to their son any more). 70 years is a platinum anniversary, so WOW’s ‘metallic platinum’ embossing powder was the obvious choice for their… Read More A platinum wedding anniversary!
Welcome to my crafty blog. I’ve got something a bit different today, but it’s alwasy good to ring the changes. I don’t usually do many cards with dark backgrounds, but one of this week’s challenges definitely called for it. Just Us Girls challenge has got Northern Lights/Aurora Borealis as it’s theme, and I teamed it… Read More aurora borealis
Welcome to my crafty blog. It’s been a bit of a busy day today, so I’ve just got a quick card to share with you. I was inspired by the fab Julie Hickey – I joined her Facebook live class last week, which was about making your own stencils using dies. I didn’t have any… Read More starry birthday
Welcome to my crafty blog, and my Sunday lookback through the Claritystamp new design club since I first joined at the end of 2021. Today’s card uses stamp #81 – the thankyou line sentiment from July 2013. Clarity now do a few sets of these line sentiments, but I think this was the first one.… Read More Clarity new design club lookback – thank you #81
Welcome to my crafty blog. No 1 son moved into his new flat earlier this week, so I’ve been making a few cards for family members to send him – this one is for his grandparents to send. It’s OK, there’s no risk of a spoiler as he doesn’t read my blog! I love this… Read More through the square window…
Welcome to my crafty blog. Here’s another masculine card to share with you today, this time using my new ‘enjoy the moment’ stamp set from Stampin’ Up!. I’m not sure that seedpods are around much in spring but, hey, just call it artistic licence! I’ve taken inspiration (and a bit of liberty) with this week’s… Read More seedpods in spring?
