M for Motivation at Alphabet Challenge

Hello crafty friends. It’s nearly the weekend, and I’m switching away from the recent autumnal colours for something a bit fresher thanks to our M for Motivation new theme at Alphabet Challenge. I reached for the Feel Good Sentiments for my card, pairing it with the SHAC Bouquet stamps for a card of encouragement.

Having cut a square of premium card slightly smaller than 6×6, I stamped one of the bouquets and a little figure with black Archival ink. I went for a pastel look this time, shading in the image with pink, lilac and gey Polychromo pencils.

I wanted to add a bit more interest to the image, so used a lilac Pergacolour pen to dot around the bouquet, then added faux stitching with a micron pen to edge the card.

Having attached the topper to a 6×6 card blank, I stamped my sentiment onto an offcut of card and trimmed it to fit. I added my fake stitching micron pen border to it and simply glued it into place.

I love these oversized bouquets – they make such fantastic designs. I think it looks so pretty in the pastel tones from Creative Colour and the layout from Freshly Made Sketches works so well too (I rotated the sentiment from their sketch. And I’m also going to share this with Triple B for the ‘blooms’ aspect of their options.
