Hello crafty friends. I’m picking up a card I made in the summer just before I went off on my travels using the Time to Party Waymarker stamps. This time, instead of using the waymarker, I pulled out one of the Cake Stand postcards, using several of the sentiment stamps with it for a birthday card – ideal for our new celebratory theme at Addicted to Stamps & More!

I started by adding the banner stamp across the top, then coloured everything using Polychromo pencils and the tones from one of my Colour Cube cards.

I then scattered several of the sentiments from the set around the cake stand – the different fonts really break up any risk of symmetry! I popped a green mount of Toscana companion paper and attached it to a 7×7 card blank.

And that was it! This feels like a fun celebration with the various sentiments and the banners.
I’m going to continue the party in the galleries at Seize the Birthday (for their ‘anything goes’ option) and Word Power. And why not come and join in at ATSM with your birthday cards – it’s always great to see what everyone creates!

Sorry I wasn’t able to visit you for so long, Deborah – I’ve absolutely busy for the last month and a half.
Your card looks really pretty. The cake stand looks elegant and your coloring makes it looks like it’s straight out of a story book! Absolutely lovely!
