Hello craft friends. Well, we may be coming through yet another week of soaring temperatures here, but that’s no reason to step away from my Seasonal Saturday cards! It’s our theme week at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown and Tracy has challenged us to make cards that don’t feature snow. I went straight to the new Christmas Bell Jar stamp for a starry sky above the little Bethlehem scene from the Christmas Build a Landscape set.

This is such a sweet little background stamp with a sentiment box as part of it too. I simply used my brayer to blend ‘uncharted mariner’ and ‘dried marigold’ Distress Oxides onto it and stamped it onto one of the 3.5″ squares of premium card.

I inked up the little Bethlehem scene with the ‘uncharted mariner’, using a spot-on sponge to distribute the ink evenly, and stamped it across the bottom of the upper part – I wanted it to look like the light was shining behind the buildings. I then added one of the sentiments, again in ‘uncharted mariner’.

I framed the image by embossing around the edge of the card with the smallest square embedder and a ball tool, mounted it on a layer of Antarctica companion paper and attached the topper to a 5×5 card blank.

And that’s all there was to my simple little scene! This one will be great for batch making cards, when I get into mass production in a couple of months time! Before then, I’m going to share this with the challenges at Sparkles Christmas for their ‘clean & simple’ theme and Holly & Ivy which it’s ‘anything Christmas goes’.
