Hello crafty friends. I’ve got a simple card today using one of the Friends & Family Silhouette – Life & Love stamps to share with you, although it certainly doesn’t reflect the weather here in the South East of England where there’s been distinct lack of rain for weeks now! I do love this image of the couple standing together under their brolly, though.

I started with the border on a 4×4 card blank, using a zig-zag strip from one of the Hopi BOW-WOB papers and a thin piece of Waimea Falls companion paper to put a border down the right hand side.

I then stamped the couple into place with black Archival ink, then sponged ‘broken china’ Distress Oxide across a landscape mask to give them some ground to stand on.

Finally, I covered the bottom of the card with scrap paper to protect it and then splattered the ‘broken china’ across it by tapping a water brush. The last thing was to add one of the Bijou Tall Feel Good Sentiments.

So there we are – simple but effective, I think. These silhouette stamps are brilliant – there’s so much emotion in all these little figures. I’m going to share this one with Make My Monday challenge for their ‘love wishes’ theme, with Time Out for their ‘choose two’ challenge (I picked up geometric CAS from their list) and with 613 Avenue Create for their ‘anything goes’ option.

Gorgeous Deborah! The geometric border and the splashes of blue were inspired details for this ethereal rainy scene Deborah – they really gave it a lift without distracting! So glad you were inspired by our 6 prompts at Time Out this fortnight – hope you will join us again soon!
Hugs, Kate!
