Hello crafty friends. It’s time for our ‘birthdays’ challenge at Addicted to Stamps & More, so obviously we want to see your cards celebrating those special days. I opted for another of the Posy stamps, this time using the Bijou Dog Rose set – these stamps are a two-way overlay set so you get the outline image plus the solid infill stamp to be able to add colour.

I first cut a topper using one of the Lattice Doodle Frame-It Panel dies, then stamped the dog rose posy outline with black Archival ink.

I lined up the infill stamp over the outline, using the etched lines on a mega mount to be able to realign it easily, then sponged ‘kitsch flamingo’ and ‘evergreen bough’ Distress Oxides onto it and stamped it into place.

Next, I ran low tack tape around the card edges to make the frame and lightly brushed ‘speckled egg’ Distress Oxide in towards the centre. I added one of the Bijou Statement Sentiments with black Archival ink and then attached the topper to a 5×5 card blank.

The original inspiration for this card came from Just Us Girls and their challenge to CASE one of their design team’s cards – I picked up Bobby’s creation (as I hope you can tell!). I’m also going to share this with Triple B (for their ‘blooms’ option) and Beautiful Blossoms.
