Hello everyone! The weeks seem to be going by so fast and it’s time for our next challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches, where Suzy has given us a new layout to play with. I’ve been meaning to make use of the Fabric Strip toppers & tags which I picked up at June’s Open Days and so finally got them out of the packet. My Clarity buddy Tina Morris was demoing with these at the Open Days, together with the Childhood Days stamps from the Friends & Family Silhouettes collection and I was inspired by one of her designs for today’s card.

I chose one of the smaller tags from the toppers set and stamped two of the flower images onto it, then added the little boy and his watering can – all with black Archival ink.

I found an offcut of Waimea Falls companion paper in my folder that was the same width as the little topper but slightly longer, so decided to use that – the stripes at the top and bottom reflect those on the topper. I used a rectangle embedder and a ball tool to emboss a frame onto the front of an A6 card (I had to shorten the embedded frame slightly so it was the right dimension for my topper), then finished with one of Barbara’s Word Stickers, which seemed the perfect sentiment for this little chap watering his plants!

This was such a brilliant idea of Tina’s to use these fabric strip designs as backgrounds for little scenes! Here’s a quick link to her original card that inspired this topper, which she shared on the Clarity Worldwide Facebook page
