Hello there and welcome to another hot and sunny day in the South East of England! We’ve got the perfect theme for this year of serial heatwaves in our new challenge at As You See It as I’d opted for ‘summer days’ when we set these at the start of the year. It gave me the perfect excuse for another outing of Linda’s Summer Sampler stamps, with the picnic image.

I found an inky mop up on a 3.5″ square of premium card in my stash (it looks like it’s got ‘picked raspberry’ and ‘dried marigold’ on it). I simply stamped the sampler square into the centre of it using black Archival ink.

I then got busy shading it in with my Polychromo pencils in yellow, orange and pink tones.

I added a sun by sponging ‘squeezed lemonade’ through the outer part of a moon mask, then ran low tack tape across the ground line and brushed ‘dried marigold across the lower part of the card (so much of the ground and fields around here are this colour after all the hot dry weather!) Finally, I edged the topper with a black Sharpie, added a mount of Waimea Falls companion paper and attached it to a 6×6 card blank onto which I’d already embossed a frame with a square embedder and a ball tool.
