Hello crafty friends. Well here we are in another heatwave in the south eats of England, so obviously I’ve got another Christmas card to share with you! In my defence, it is for the week’s 52 Christmas Card Throwdown, where Fabiola has chosen ‘snowmen’ as the theme. I’ve picked out the little chap from the same Christmas Elements stamp set I used for last week’s card, pairing him with a rather unexpected igloo made with one of the Dotted Blooms stamps I’m busy demonstrating with this week at Clarity’s Open Days!

So, a simple start on a square of premium card that I trimmed to fit on a 5×5 card blank – I just stamped the snowman and ‘igloo’ with ‘salvaged patina’ Archival ink.

I masked off the snowman & ‘igloo’ (there are precut masks with the Dotted Blooms stamps, but I made one for the snowman from Clarity’s blank material) then brushed ‘salvaged patina’ Distress Oxide into the background around them.

All I then needed to do was add a few snowflakes from the set into the sky and stamp the sentiment, all in the ‘salvaged patina’, and attach the topper to my 5×5 card blank – no mount, just leaving the images to do their work.

Now I’m having to write this blog this from my mobile, which is a bit less flexible than on my laptop, so I’ll be back later this evening to add all the links in!
