Parchment tulips for As You See It Challenge

Hello everyone. It’s the final day of Clarity’s Half Price Dies Sale today, so a last chance to grab a bargain with their dies at 50% off! I have to say, I do love their Art Nouveau dies and today’s card features the Tulips one, on some designer parchment – I don’t do parchment craft but the die cut is a great way to get a ‘fake’ effect !

The first step was to cut the tulips out of white premium card and attach the die cut to a piece of Indian Summer designer parchment using Perga glue (it’s important to stick it to the matt side of the printed parchment at this point). I then flipped it to the reverse and used an ink eraser pencil to remove the colour from the reverse – that explains my earlier comment about which side to glue the die cut onto, as the ink is printed onto the shinier side.

I could then go back onto the reverse of the parchment to add colour back into the tulips and their leaves with my Polychromo pencils, which distinguishes them from the rest of the parchment. To finish, I simply used the Perga glue to attach the parchment to a white 7×7 card blank and popped a word sticker on the front.

I do love the effect of this, and it’s so simple with Clarity’s designer parchment and a simple die cut. I’m going to share this little creation with Beautiful Blossoms challenge
