Good morning crafty friends. It’s Friday and we’ve got some more fab new stamps to share with you, with Barbara putting them into action on this morning’s 10am Clarity Social TV show. This Floral Wall set are another addition to their Mixed Impressions range and I put the largest stamp into use for the background on this card – it works so well with the Dotted Blooms stamps.

First off, I cut a piece of the 6×4.5″ premium card to a square and stamped the sentiments along the two edges in ‘villainous potion’ Distress Oxide. The Floral Wall background stamp has a lovely lacy edge that I didn’t want to lose in the partial stamping, so I lined it up to leave the sentiments clear, taking it over the top and left hand edges (having first sponged ‘speckled egg’ Distress Oxide onto the stamp).

Next was to stamp the three sizes of Dotted Blooms plus their stems in the ‘villainous potion’ (you can see I ran low tack tape across the bottom edge so they didn’t overlap the sentiment), and then add the leaves to the stems.

I took a couple of Polychromo pencils (in ‘violet’ and ‘earth green’ from the Winter set) to shade in the flowers and leaves, then simply added a mount of Indian Summer companion paper and attached it to a 6×6 card blank.

I really like this colour combination of purple and pale green, which is thanks to the palette at Color Dare. And I also know that there are some amazing samples from my Clarity colleagues – Barbara will be showcasing them on the show this morning to inspire you.

Beautiful! Definitely reminds me of the wallpaper seen in photos in my grandmother’s house!

Oh, absolutely! All grandparent ‘memories’ are precious! Three of my four grandparents were already deceased when I was born and we moved away from the fourth one when I was very young (and she passed away a few years later anyway) so I only have what I call ‘photo memories’ of all of them. ❤

I was fortunate to have three of my grandparents living in the same town when I was younger and we saw them a lot – my last grandmother died when I was 18

Brilliant use of the colours – and love the delicate background stamping. Plus what a clever way to add the sentiments. All in all fabulous.

I struggled with the large stamp to start with, but now love it!

[…] after using the largest stamp on Friday’s card, today’s offering uses the two smallest ones (they’re on the top left of the set). […]
