Good morning crafty friends! It’s launch day for the new butterflies & bees collection from ClarityCrafts and I decided to showcase several of the stamp sets together with the latest infusion papers and abstract die on this card.

So, I started with a black 7×7 card blank and cut the aperture die into the front. I used a couple of nested square dies to cut a piece of the infusion paper (you can see the fab shadow effect that matches the die on it), which also gave me a frame. I then attached the central square behind the aperture and glued the frame onto the front of the card. With hindsight, I’d have been better to just cut the aperture separately from black card and sit it over a square of the infusion paper….

As you all know, I’m not always very good at planning ahead (my referred style of card making is ‘evolution’!). I wanted to stamp the honeycomb from the ‘just butterflies & bees’ set into the centre aperture – should have done that before putting the paper behind the die cut, so instead had to mask off the frame to add it! I stamped the outline first, then added a little ‘mustard seed’ with the infill stamp to deepen the colour.

I then set about filling in the rest of the apertures with a mix of the ‘wee bees’ and ‘just butterflies & bees’ stamps, adding yellow highlights with a Pergaliner pencil.

Love the way these products all work together! I’ll be back later with a second card back in my usual CAS style!
