a techy birthday

Hello crafty friends. Something a bit different today, with a card my son requested for his friend who’s a bit of a tech geek! I immediately thaought of Stampin’ Up!’s ‘tech support’ set, which I haven’t used as much as I should have… I took inspiration from Inspired by picking up the sketch and the colours from the photo.

I started with a piece of SU’s ‘dandy designs’ dsp in blamy blue, stamped the binary code across it and attached it to a 5×7 card blank.

I stamped the birthday sentiment onto a piece of white card, then layered it onto a red mount & attached to the card front. I stamped the keyboard squares twice, coloured them with ‘smokey slate’ Blends alcohol markers and fussy cut them, then added them to the card front.

I wasn’t entirely happy with the background, so repeat stamped the keyboard squares between the lines of binary code. I should have done this at the start, so had to run a little low tack tape down the card sides where the squares were overlapping the edge of the paper. It did look much better for it, though.

Thanks for dropping in. Can you believe we’re halfway through another week already?
