Welcome to my crafty blog and something a bit different from my usual style. I do love a good cup of coffee, so thought of ‘Linda Williams’ coffee quartet’ stamps from Clarity when I saw the moodboard over at Just Us Girls. I’m also sharing it with Just Add Ink, as coffee and friends are definitely the perfect blend for me!

I strated with a mop-up piece in my stash of inky backgrounds – I think this one was from cleaning my brayer on another project! Don’t ask me what colours I used – as ever, I failed to make a note on the back!

I stamped Clarity’s ‘square clean and tidy layout’ onto the card then added the coffee mug, masking the first one so I could add the second next to it. I coloured the pattern on the mugs with marker pens, and added shading below them with an alocohol marker and colour blender.

I stamped three of the sentiments into various boxes, then added all the little coffee name stamps around the frame – I stamped all these as second generation, ie stamped it first on a piece of scrap after inking and then onto the card. I used a few of the other little accent stamps as well, to fill in more of the space.

Once done, I cut the card down with a nested square die and attached it to a 6×6 black card blank. The coffee mugs didn’t really stand out enough, so I coloured them in with a co-ordinating marker pen as well.

I haven’t really used these layout stamps enough – they work really well with small stamps for creating montage scenes. More to come, I think!
Cute! 🙂

Fun card!!!!! I really like this Clarity stamp and thought it was a floor plan card when I saw the thumbnail in the gallery. I might need to find the store who sells this as it has given me ideas!!! You did a great job using that soft background to start, then added all the details to make up a unique coffee themed card!!! So glad you joined us this week at JUGS!!!!
