framed florets birthday

Hello crafty friends. I’ve swapped back to a current Stampin’ Up! set that I haven’t had out so far this year, the ‘framed florets’. I thought of it as soon as I saw the inspiration picture at TGIF challenges – I decided to use the layout in the picture but added in the shades from Color Hues.

I started by stamping one of the sentiments from the set onto a small square of card, layered it onto a mount of red and then attached it to a 6×6 card blank.

I stamped the floral spray and a couple of sets of leaves onto wbhite card and coloured them in, using ‘poppy parade’ SU Blends (alcohol markers) for the flowers and ‘blushing bride’ Write marker for the leaves, together with a little ‘smokey slate’ to give the leaves shading. I die cut all three pieces and glued them onto the card front.

I finished by scattering a few red resin dots around the flowers.

Thanks for dropping in. I can’t believe it’s already Monday again, but at least the sun’s been shining today so life could be worse.
