Hello crafty friends. Well. I’m cracking on with thank you cards in anticipation of lots of lovely Christmas presents at the weekend! I kept this one nice and simple, inspired by the photo over at TGIF challenges

I started by creating a frame on the front of a 5×5 card blank with one of Clarity’s embedders. I’ve talked about this before, but you just attached the plastic embedder shape to the front of your card with a little low tack tape, then use a bone folder or embossing tool to run round the shape from the inside of the card front. They give such a great shape without adding a layer to your card. I then stamped the oval from Stampin’ Up!’s ‘watercolour shapes’ three times inside the frame, using Distress Oxides in ‘picked raspberry’, ‘peacock feathers’ & ‘wilted violet’.

I added the small flower and sentiment from the new ‘beautifully happy’ set that will be available in Stampin’ Up!’s Saleabration next month (free with a qualifying purchase).

Thanks for dropping in. My pre-Christmas tidy up is well underway now – tackled the kitchen today and heading for the living room tomorrow!
