Christmas tag

Welcome to my crafty blog and a rare occasion when I share something that’s not a card, thanks to Just Add Ink‘s theme this week. I usually make the tage for my presents by die cutting them from the previous year’s Christmas cards (a great way to recycle), but I needed something a bit more special for my son’s present so decided to make one from scratch.

I cut a star using the largest of Julie Hickey’s ‘you’re a star’ dies from a piece of Clarity’s ‘Antarctica’ designer card. I cut the word from Julie’s ‘Christmas profile’ dies in the same card, then used white to die cut the backing layer, glued them together and then glued the whole piece onto the star.

I added a couple of Glossies stars, punched a hole at the top with my crop-a-dile and finished with white twine.

Well I’m on the home straight towards Christmas now, with just a couple of presents left to wrap. I tidied my craft room today as well and managed to locate a couple of items that I’d been searching for, so I’m very happy with life!
