Hello crafty friends. Today’s card is inspired by some designs by Philippa Lewis, who’s part of Julie Hickey’s design team – she had a great online class this morning, although I couldn’t craft along and need to find time to catch up wiht the latter part of the session. Anyway, I decided to do some partial stamping with the floral envelope from the ‘sent with love’ collection, inspired by the current challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches

I started by masking off the lower part of a square of white card and stamped the top of the envelope above it using ‘watering can’ Archival ink.

Now I may have pushed it a bit with the challenge sketch, but I thought the five main flowers in the image picked up the circle design on the layout. I coloured them using a Stampin’ Up! ‘coastal cabana’ Write marker and a blending pen to get shading. I used ‘mossy meadow’ for the leaves and a pink Pergacolour pen for the smallest flowers.

I used a micron pen to doodle in the lower edge of the image, and a ‘smoky slate’ SU blend to then add shading around the flowers and leaves. The final step was to add the sentiment in ‘watering can’ and attach the topper to a 5×5 card blank.

So what do you think – have I reflected the layout in CCAS’ sketch? I haven’t got time to think about it anymore now, as the deadline is in a couple of hours so I’m off to link it up! See you tomorrow.
Beautiful!
