Clarity craft club lookback – leafy aperture die

Hello crafty friends. Well this week’s dip back into Clarity’s craft club took me to the leafy aperture die from July 2020.

I decided to do a bit of trimming on the die cut to create a frame – I first cut it into a square of SU’s ‘evening evergreen’ card and then used my small scissors to snip out the leaves I didn’t want.

I cut a square of white card fractionally small than the green one, and created a pink sky with Clarity’s ‘clouds’ mask, a blending brush and ‘kitsch flamingo’ Distress Oxide. I tore a scrap of copy paper and blended ‘iced spruce’ across it to create the land.

I glued the leafy frame on top of the landscape piece and added them both to a 5×5 card blank.

I stamped the sentiment with WOW clear ink onto a piece of the ‘evening evergreen’ and heat embossed it in silver before adding it to the frame. The final touch was a flock of birds heading off into to the distance, stamped in black Versafine Clair.

Thanks for dropping in. I’m going to link this up at Color Throwdown, as I’ve used their current palette.
