nativity joy to the world

Hello crafty friends. Today’s card pulls a few blog challenges together, using an old nativity scene stamp from Clarity Crafts, together with one of their ‘frame-it’ dies. I took the layout from Freshly Made Sketches and added in the new colours from Color Hues, together with a dash of inspiration from Hand Stamped Sentiments photo.

The first step was to cut one of the nested circle ‘frame-it’ aperture dies into a square of white card. I then stamped the nativity scene into the circle, added the outer part of one of Clarity’s moon masks and blended a little ‘chipped sapphire’ Distress Oxide around the image.

I mounted it onto a layer of navy card, which filled in the dots to give a nice frame to the image, then attached it to a 5×5 card blank. Finally, I brayered WOW clear ink onto a scrap of cream card and heat embossed it with ‘icecream’ sparkly powder. I used a couple of Julie Hickey’s ‘you’re a star’ dies to cut the stars, glued them onto the card front, then added a Clarity word sticker to finish.

Thanks for dropping in. I’m going to have to stop making Christmas cards shortly and start getting them in the post!
