Clarity craft club lookback – just a little note

Hello there. Well it’s Sunday again so I’ve dipped back into Clarity’s craft club, this time for the ‘just a little note’ die from June 2020.

I thought I’d take a break from Christmas cards and make a start on a few thank you notes (yes, I am hoping for lots of lovely presents!) I started with a 5×5 card blank, masked off three strips and blended Distress Oxides onto them – ‘picked raspberry’, ‘dried marigold’ & ‘salvaged patina’.

I then cut the die into a small square of white card that I’d backed with an adhesive sheet. I masked off the frame with low tack tape and blended the three Distress Oxides onto the words. After I removed the masking tape, I attached the die cut to another square of white card.

I glued the topper onto the card front. I blended the inks onto three scrap strips of card and used those to die cut lengths of the frame, so that the colours lined up with the words and blended panels. I picked the larger lozenge shapes out and glued them into the frame around the words (a bit fiddly, but I do like a bit of paper piecing)

Thanks for dropping in. I’m linking this card up with a few blog challenges – the layout is from Just Add Ink, the colours from Inspired by‘s photo, and the paper piecing thanks to Inkspirational
