Christmas foilables

Welcome to my crafty blog and another Christmas card, this time using Julie Hickey Designs ‘Christmas foilables’ die cuts as the focus. I took the layout from the sketch at Atlantic Hearts, the colours from Color Hues and the right hand column of embellishment/no sentiment/shiny from TicTacToe

I started with two of the die cuts, foiled them with WOW’s green foil, then added colour with Stampin’ Up! Write markers in ‘soft succulent’ and ‘poppy parade’. I love the shine from the foil!

I trimmed a piece of card to fit an A6 card blank and blended ‘iced spruce’ Distress Oxide across the lower half. I then glued the two die cuts in place and attached it to the card blank.

I cut some little white stars using one of Julie’s ‘you’re a star’ dies and glued them into the sky, finishing with a few green shiny dots underneath the houses.

Did I mention that I love the shine on the foiled areas? Here’s another view.
