Hello crafty friends. I’m still busy with Christmas cards – today’s uses the ‘spruced up’ set from Stampin’ Up! I’ve taken the layout from CAS Colours & Sketches, the colours from Hand Stamped Sentiments and the Christmas tree theme from The Card Concept
I started with the abstract background stamp from ‘artistically inked’, which I stamped using ‘soft succulent’.
I stamped one of the trees from ‘spruced up’ in ‘evening evergreen’, then cut it out with the co-ordinating die. What I hadn’t fully realised was that the die cuts the tree outline as well as the image – a nice two-for-one! I was originally just going to use the stamped tree, but decided to overlay the outline die cut as well, for dimension.
I used a ruler and my ‘evening evergreen’ Write marker to draw a narrow border around the card, then attached it to an A6 card blank. I added the sentiment in ‘evening evergreen’ and finished with a couple of stars to top the trees, cut from the ‘spruced up outlines’ dies.
This was a first outing for this set, but I expect you’ll be seeing it again over the coming weeks!

Love this, Deb! So perfectly CAS, that wash background is just so pretty! Great use of the outline – I am loving this set, and haven’t used those outlines much yet – accumulating quite a few of them in my die folder, lol. Thanks so much for playing at Hand Stamped Sentiments!
