Welcome to my crafty blog. Clarity’s ‘letterbox gnomes’ have come out to play again today, inspired by a couple of challenges. I’ve taken the sketch from Fusion (which I flipped) and picked up the gnome sitting on the shelf in their photo. TGIF challenges have also got a gnome theme this week, and I reflected the three that are in their challenge photo.

I stated with a square of white card to fit a 6×6 card blank and used a waterbrush to lighty splatter it with ‘festive berries’ Distress Oxide (it just breaks the background up slightly). I mounted the card onto a square of Julie Hickey’s ‘weathered wood’ paper and then attached it to the card blank.

I stamped three of the letterbox gnomes and coloured them with Pergaliner pencils, picking up the colours from Fusion’s photo, before cutting them with the co-ordinating dies.

I attached a strip of the ‘weathered wood’ paper top the card front, to look like a shelf for the gnomes to sit on. I used the alphabet stamps to give them each a letter in their box, then glued a scrap bit of card on the back of each and attached then to the card front.

I finished by adding ‘Christmas’ from the ‘gnomes and billboards’ stamp set.

Thanks for dropping in. I’m having fun producing my gnome cards in lots of different colourways.
Those gnomes are super adorable!
