Hello crafty friends. Well, I’m continuing the poinsettia theme today, but without using a poinsettia stamp or die on this card! My Sunday dip back into Clarity’s craft club reached May 2020, which was a mandala die.

When I looked at it, I thought I could turn it into a poinsettia style design and get another Christmas card in the bag! I started by cutting it in dark green card, trimmed it out of the frame and glued it onto a 5×5 card blank.

I cut it again in red card and initally just paper pieced the leaves/petals into the green outline. I wasn’t too happy with it, though, so I trimmed the red flower outline from the frame and glued it on top of the green one.

Better, but it still needed something more, so I used gold card for a third die cut, trimmed the centre design out and attached that on top.

I stamped the sentiment from the ‘gnomes and billboards’ set in dark green ink and finished with a few gold Glossies.

I love finding versatility in my crafting products – it makes them go so much further! I’m heading off to share this with The Paper Players for their new CAS Christmas theme, and with Inspire Create, who’ve decided anything goes this time.

I love how cleverly you’ve used you supplies, Deborah! Poinsettias are such a festive part of Christmas, and your card is lovely! We’re so glad you’ve joined the fun at The Paper Players!
