Hello crafty friends. Herre’s another Christmas card, this time using the ‘merriest moments’ set from Stampin’ Up! which have come out for the first time this year. I’ve taken the colours from the new challenge at Just Us Girls, together with ‘anything goes’ from Happy Little Stampers‘ Christmas challenge.

I wanted the poinsettias to be the focus on thsi card, so started with an piece of an old black & white SU paper, ‘merry music’, which I mounted on a layer of black and attached to a 5×7 card blank.

I then stamped & die cut a couple of poinsettias in ‘festive berries’ Distress Oxide, using ‘rustic wilderness’ and ‘iced spruce’ for the leaves. I addded them to the card using a mixture of foam pads and glue, then finished the poinsettias with little centres die cut in gold card.

I decided not to add a sentiment as the background works so well and, for once, resisted added any glossy dots!

Thanks for dropping in. I hope your weekend is going well – we’ve just had a lovely meal out celebrating my son’s girlfriend’s birthday and I’m sitting here slowly digesting it! See you tomorrow.
Beautiful! I think this might be my new favorite! 😉
