peace on earth globe

Hello there. I’m back with a second card today, moving from the old to the new with the latest stamp from Clarity’s craft club. I had a great afternoon online with my sister & my crafting buddy, all using the same stamp but creating different designs. This is my offering, inspired by a few of the current blog challenges. I’ve taken the colours from the new challenge at The Paper Players, the middle column from TicTacToe‘s grid, and the overall inspiration from Inkspirational‘s photo.

I started by stamping the globe onto a piece of white card and coloured the sky in with three shades of blue Pergaliner pencils.

I added blue shading to the snow and the trees, then cut one of Clarity’s frame-it aperture dies around the stamp and cut the whole piece out with a circle die. I backed it with a circle of sparkly silver card and mounted it onto a black 5×5 card.

I die cut several small stars unsing one of Julie Hickey’s ‘you’re a star’ dies, glued two of them on top of the trees and scattered the others onto the card base.

Thanks for dropping in. I’ve had a very productive afternoon at my craft desk – always a good thing on a Sunday before gearing up to start a new week!
