Welcome to my crafty blog and a card using a brand new set from Stampin’ Up! which goes on general sale next week, the ‘fitting florets’ collection. I’ve used the sketch from Atlantic Hearts challenge for my layout, together with TGIF‘s challenge not to use any black ink.

I started with a 6×6 square card and added a piece of the ‘fitting florets’ designer paper, with a square of white card on top and a strip of the gold striped paper from the last Saleabration.

I cut the circle from the retired ‘swirly scribbles’ set in ‘soft succulent’ and glued it onto the card front. I then added a spray of flowers from the ‘fitting florets’ paper – I’d discovered that the co-ordinating dies cut this image out! I’d popped the flowers on a small scrap of card gluing to the card, which reinforced the paper and also lifted them slightly off the card, although not as high as a foam pad (great way to use up those little scrap pieces). I stamped a couple of leaves in ‘evening evergreen’, coloured them with the ink and a waterbrush and glued them behind the flowers, together with the leafy spray on the other side of the circle.

To finish, I stamped one of the sentiments in ‘evening evergreen’ and glued it over the leafy spray, adding a couple more leaves at the bottom. The final touch was a scattering of pink Glossies.

Thanks for dropping in. My sister & I are planning a crafting afternoon tomorrow, so I’ll be back with more creations!
Totally love this!

Beautiful card. I’m liking how you incorporated pieces from a variety of places yet everything looks like they were all meant to be together. Thanks for joining us at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.

What a creative interpretation of the sketch through the lined patterned paper! And the color palate is really soft and pretty. Thank you for joining us this week at the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge and look forward to seeing you again soon!

Absolutely beautiful, I love how you added the sentiment, the pop of colour of the flowers against the various tones of green is perfect. Thanks for playing along with Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge (AHSC).
