bijou wishes

Hello crafty friends. I’m back today with a CAS card using a couple of the new bijou stamps from Claritystamp, which I picked up at their recent summer retreat. They’re really sweet small stamps, perfect for CAS cards, so I’ve picked up the themes from a couple of CAS challenges on this one. Addicted to CAS are looking for pink on this week’s cards, and Less is More have gone with vellum. I also thought that the new sketch over at Global Design Project would work well for a CAS design.

As I’ve done with several cards recently, I started by embossing a frame on the front of a 5×5 card blank with one of Clarity’s embedders.

I popped the outer part of a circle mask onto the card front and blended a little ‘kitsch flamingo’ Distress Oxide into it. I ran a piece of masking tape along the bottom of the embossed frame and then stamped the triple flower from the ‘bijou wildflowers’ set into the circle using black Versafine Clair ink.

I then used one of the single stamps from the ‘bijou dandelion heads’ set to give the effect of more petals on the wildflowers stamps. I cut a banner from a piece of Clarity’s designer parchment, picking one with pink tones, and stamped the sentiment on it – it’s from A Pocketful of Happiness’ ‘everyday sentiments’ set. I added a little glue on the back of the parchment behind the words and stuck it across the flower stems.

We got some brilliant inspiration for using these stamps at the Clarity retreat – you’ll be seeing a lot more of them!

  1. Love your dry embossing of the inner frame on the card. I also like how you added to the flowers to jazz them up even more. Awesome CAS card. Thank for playing over at LIM.
