Claritystamp craft club lookback – reeds & insects

Welcome to my crafty blog and my Sunday dip back into Claritystamp’s Craft Club. I’m now up to March 2021, which was the ‘reeds & insects’ stamp set.

I started by stamping the reeds onto a small square of card using ‘potting soil’ Archival ink. I added a sun using a small circle mask and ‘squeezed lemonade’ Distress ink, and blended a little ‘walnut stain’ along the lower edge to ground the plants.

I stamped part of the reeds image onto a 6×6 kraft card blank, again in the ‘potting soil’, and added one of Clarity’s ‘doodle frame-it’ die cut borders.

I coloured the reeds image with Pergaliner pencils in brown, yellow & orange, adding the little bee from the set as well, and then attached it in the centre of the frame.

I finished with a word sticker. Love this phrase – it’s always so good to have time to just sit in the garden and listen to the sounds of nature around me.

Thanks for dropping in. I’m heading off to share this with a couple of blog challenges. I took the layout from Freshly Made Sketches (I flipped it), with the colours from Color Throwdown
