Claritystamp craft club lookback – holly and ivy

Hello there and welcome to my weekly trip back into Claritystamp’s craft club. Now I’ve gone a bit against the grain today – we’ve had a weekend of fabulous Jubilee celebrations here in the UK, so here I am with a Christmas card! LOL! Well it’s only because this ‘holly and ivy’ stamp is the next one I’ve reached, from October 2020, so just go with me.

It’s a really useful square stamp and I decided to use the sketch from Just Add Ink and will also share it over at my bloggy friend Leslie’s Merry Little Christmas challenge, where the theme is ‘anything goes’

I used low tack tape to mask the front of an A6 card blank and stamped the leaves into the top right section and the bottom left, using ‘rustic wilderness’ Distress Oxide.

I stamped one of the Claritstamp ‘two way robins’ onto a spare piece of card, heat embossed it in gold, coloured it with marker pens and fussy cut it. I sat it on the join of the two stamped areas using foam pads.

I picked out the holly berries in the background with dots of red Stickles glitter gleu. I haven’t added a sentiment yet (I’ll leave that until I know who it’s going to) and just scattered a few sparkly red Glossies around the robin as a final touch.

Well normal life resumes again tomorrow after four days of Platinum Jubilee celebrations – hopefull I’ll still find a few spare minutes for a spot of crafting!
