Hello there. It’s time for a new letter at the Alphabet Challenge – we’re now on to E and Billie has chosen ’emboss’. You can opt for wet (heat) or dry embossing – I’ve gone with dry for this masculine card and also picked up the top row on The Paper Players‘ Tic-Tac-Toe grid.

This is a nice and simple design. I used a piece of black coated card from Claritystamp, trimmed it to fit a 6×6 card and ran it through the ‘cogs and gears’ embossing folder from Creative Expressions. The great thing about the coated card is that it has a glossy surface that crackles when embossed, so looks metallic. I mounted it on a layer of matte silver card and then attached to a black card blank.

I cut another strip of the silver card, ran a length of black grosgrain ribbon across it and attached that to the card front.

I glued one of Clarity’s word stickers onto the ribbon and finished with three silver Card Candi (something else that’s been sat in my stash for years!)

This card will be winging it’s way to my sister-in-law’s partner, but do head over to Alphabet Challenge to check out the fabulous inspiration cards from my design teammates and then come and share your embossed creartions with us. The challenge is open until Thursday 16 June.
Awesome masculine card! The embossed background is fabulous!
