Hello crsafty friends. I’m back today with a card using the ‘friendly hello’ stamp set that I got in the last Stampin’ Up! Saleabration and so far hadn’t opened! I thought it would work well with the challenge from Inspire Create, who’ve asked us to CASE the card by Kate on their design team, together with the colours from Colour INKspiration over on Facebook. It’s also given me a second offering for Global Design Project‘s ‘flowers’ theme.

I started with a piece of the ‘friendly hello’ designer paper, layered it up on a piece of ‘bermuda bay’ card (the nearest I’ve got to ‘pool party’) and attached both to a 5×7 card blank.

I stamped the bird on the floral branch in ‘watering can’ Archival ink and then coloured her using SU Write markers in ‘fresh freesia’ and ‘bermuda bay’ (don’t ask me what type of bird this is, I’ve never seen one in these colours either!!) I coloured the flowers by blending ‘melon mambo’ in the centres (in the absence of a ‘magenta madness’ pen) and ‘flirty flamingo’ on the outer petals. I fussy cut the image and attached it to the card front with foam pads.

I stamped the sentiment onto a die cut banner and heat embossed it with gold powder, before attaching it under the flowers. A few metallic gold SU pearls finished it off.

Thanks for dropping in. I’m bracing myself for the Slimming World weigh-in tonight, when I’ll find out how much damage I did over the Easter weekend! Hey ho – tomorrow is another day (isn’t that when all diets restart…?!)
Gorgeous! Love this!
