snowdrop doodle

Welcome to my crafty blog and some more flowers from Claritystamp. This ‘snowflake doodle round’ set hasn’t surfaced for a while so I thought it deserved an outing, inspired by the challenges at Global Design Project and TGIF

I started with the frameless ‘snowdrop doodle round’ stencil – I laid it on a square of white card then blended ‘speckled egg’ Distress Oxide through it. This is a bit tricky with a frameless stencil, as there isn’t anywhere to fix it with low tack tape, so I had to hold it carefully and not move it as I worked round the whole piece.

I then stamped the large snowdrop in black Arcival ink, adding in the second flower on the right. I used the two infill stamps in the set to add ‘dried marigold’ Distress Oxide to the petals, and then stamped the sentiment to the right.

I ran a black Sharpie around the edge of the topper before attaching it to a 6×6 card blank, finishing with a few peach coloured Glossies.

Thanks for dropping in. I’ve had a very productive crafty afternoon, prepping samples for my May craft group – always good to be ahead of the game!
