Claritystamp craft club lookback – someone I love

Happy Easter everyone! I’ve had a lovely day with family, and then caught a few minutes this evening to make this card with the next in my journey back through Claritystamp’s Craft Club. This lovely script stamp is from March 2020 – I’ve used it a few times before now, as it makes great birthday cards.

I teamed it with the ‘blooming corner & insects’ stamp set, as Clarity have challenged us to ‘say it with flowers’ this weekend. I stamped the sentiment onto the front of a 6×6 card blank in black Archival ink, added the floral corner to the bottom left and then the bee from the set to the top right.

I shaded the images using Pergaliner pencils, trying to stick to spring colours.

I finished by adding shadow under the bottom edge of the flowers with an HB pencil, to give them a little depth. The last touch was to pop Wink of Stella onto the bee’s wings to make them shimmer (although you can’t see that in the photo).

I hope you’ve had a lovely Easter weekend, if you celebrate it. I’m going to share this card with a couple of challenges: the theme at Addicted to CAS is ‘one layer cards’, and Just Add Ink are looking for our favourite animals. Regular readers of this little blog will already know that I’m very fond of bees, as my name (Deborah) means industrious or bee-like!
