Hello crafty friends. Today’s card uses the ‘sweet daisies’ stamp set from Julie Hickey Designs, together with a little trick with a banner die! I picked up the challenge photo over at Inkspirational, and paired it with the colours from Color Hues

I started with a square of white card and stamped the daisies onto it. I ran a piece of masking tape across the bottom so the daisy stems were level, stamped the double one in the centre first, then added the single flower on each side. I shaded them with pink & green Pergaliner pencils.

I cut a narrow strip of the green toned paper from the ‘all weathered’ pack and attached that along the base of the daisy stems to look like a shelf. I then die cut the shaped banner from Julie’s square ‘layers frames and banners’ set in parchment. I cut one of them in half for the two smaller vases, and the second one a bit taller for the double daisies. I ran a little clear glue along the daisy stems and stuck the parchment in place. Now, I know they’re got holes at the bottom, but I thought they looked like a design feature you can get in very expensive vases, not a leak!

I mounted the card onto a square of the green ‘all weathered’ paper and attached it to a 6×6 card blank. I finished by stamping one of the sentiments from the ‘sweet daisy’ set.

Thanks for dropping in. I can’t believe it’s Monday already – onwards and upwards into another week. I’m heading out to lunch with friends today, so I’m not going to worry about the fact that it’s raining – I’ll be tucked nicely indoors!
Love this! The pink is so soft!
