sunflower pattern

Hello crafty friends! I’ve been playing again with the sunflowers from Claritystamp – it’s a great little set and the Clarity team are donating 50% of the proceeds from their sale to the British Red Cross in aid of Ukraine. I’ve used the inspiration card over at Global Design Project for this one, picking up the pattern & flowers elements from Just Add Ink‘s ‘just take two’ challenge.

I started with a square of smooth white card and repeat stamped the small sunflower over it in ‘watering can’ Archival ink. I masked off the flower stem each time with low tack tape before inking it up.. I attached the topper to a 6×6 card blank.

I then stamped the large sunflower onto a spare piece of card and coloured it with a waterbrush and Distress Oxide in ‘mustard seed’ and ‘rustic wilderness’. Once dry, I fussy cut it and attached it to the card front with foam pads.

I finished with one of the Clarity word stickers, added on foam pads, which echoes the sentiment in the stamp set.

Thanks for dropping in. I had a busy old afternoon, prepping for the craft group I’m leading next week – it’s hard work but always so satisfying to see what everyone produces. And I’m off to an in-person crafting session with the fab Marion Emberson from Sugar & Spice Crafts tomorrow afternoon, so all’s good in my world.

  1. What a striking card Deborah. I love your beautifully coloured sunflower against the stamped background. Thanks for joining in with us again at Just Add Ink. X
