Welcome to my crafty blog. I’m back with another card using Stampin’ Up!’s ‘blossoms in bloom’ – haven’t quite brought myself to put them away yet. I’ve been struggling to get my head round the palette from the Colour INKspiration challenge over on Facebook, as it’s not anything near my usual favourite tones, but decided it was definitely one for a floral theme. I’ve also had to substitute a couple of the shades as I don’t have them in my stash.

I started with the large flowers from the set and stamped it in ‘daffodil yellow’ (the nearest shade I’d got to ‘bumblebee’). I added small flowers in ‘pale papaya’ (I don’t have ‘so saffron’), leaves in the grey and centres to the large flowers with the ‘cajun craze’.

I cut a topper using on of the ‘tasteful labels’ dies and stamped the sentiment onto it in the ‘cajun craze’. I attached it to the floral image and trimmed the edge flush with the card. I then blended the grey around the edge of an A6 card blank before sticking the floral image to it.

I finished by stamping a couple more of the small flowers and a grey leaf and then fussy cut them. I glued them to sit at the end of the sentiment topper.

Thanks for dropping in. It’s been a quieter day weather-wise today – we fortunately didn’t have any storm damage, but one of my neighbours lost half their fence and there are a couple of fallen trees in nearby roads. We’ve got another storm warning for tomorrow, although not as severe as yesterday. Looks like I’ll just have to stay indoors and craft again!
You nailed the colors! A lovely card.
