Hello crafty friends. Here’s another Valentine’s card, this time using the word stamp from Clarity’s ‘love heart doodle’ set and some less than traditional colours again. It’s a one layer card, thanks to the theme over at AAA Cards which I’ve teamed up with the current TGIF challenge

I started by stamping the ‘love’ outline in black Archival onto a 6×6 card blank, and then added the infill stamp with ‘salvaged patina’ Distress Oxide.

I covered the letter with the pre-cut masks that come with the stamps and brushed ‘chipped sapphire’ and ‘salvaged patina’ behind them. I then stamped the small heart from the ‘doodleology’ set twice, together with three of the little hearts from the ‘love heart doodle’ set.

I used a waterbrush to lift some of the ink from the stamped hearts, and then coloured them back in using the ‘salvaged patina’ and ‘chipped sapphire’.

I must admit, although I love producing CAS cards, I find one layer cards just about the most difficult. At the least I like to add a mat to the front of the card so the image has a frame. Still, I think this one turned out OK!
Beautiful color palette!
