Hello crafty friends. I’ve been making a few more Valentine’s cards and decided to go for a bit of a different look with this one. Black & white isn’t the usual colour scheme for a Valentine’s card, but I was inspired by the chalkboard photo over at Fusion, which I’ve teamed with the layout from The Paper Players and the new theme from Global Design Project

I started by cutting the words from Stampin’ Up!’s ‘love you more than’ die set in white card and glued them onto a piece of black card, which I then attached to a 5×7 card blank.

I then die cut the sentiment in black and stuck it to a topper I’d cut from the ‘tasteful labels’ dies. That then went onto the card front using foam pads. I was cross with myself though – if I’d planned it a bit better I would have left the top ‘chocolate’ off so it wasn’t obscured by the topper!

I finished it with a few red die cut and Glossies hearts.

Thanks for dropping in. I’ve had a lovely day with an online craft class this morning (although I did have to do work meetings this afternoon). Still, I’ve got several cards made, which always makes me feel better.
Great chalkboard Look! Glad you joined us at Fusion!

Love what you did with these challenges! I know that took a little bit of work to create all those diecuts but it was well worth the effort! Thanks for playing with us at the Players this week with this sweet creation!
