Hello crafty friends. Well it’s Sunday again so here’s the next in my trip back through Claritystamp’s Craft Club. This ‘buddleia’ stamp was from March 2018 – these are such great plants for the garden as they attract the butterflies (although it’s a bit early in the year just now for them to be flowering, as my gardening friends will no doubt tell me!).

I started by cutting one of the ‘frame-it’ aperture dies into the edge of a square of white card that I’d trimmed to fit a 6×6 card blank. I then stamped the ‘buddleia’ twice, using ‘wilted violet’ Distress Oxide for the flower head and ‘mowed lawn’ for the stems.

I then sat quietly for a little while and coloured in the individual flowers on each stem, together with the leaves with Perga colour pens. I used two shades of purple on the flowers to try and give it a little more depth. I stamped the sentiment in dark grey and then attached the whole piece to a 6×6 card blank.

I’m going to share this over at Fusion card challenge as I used their sketch for my design.
So elegant – love it!
