a wreath of flowers

Welcome to my crafty blog. I decided to CaSE (copy and selectively edit) a previous card I made with the Stampin’ Up! ‘arrange a wreath’ set – here’s my original Easter wreaths. This time I’ve added an extra wreath under the flowers and completed the circle, using the colours from this week’s challenge at TGIF. I’ve taken the layout from the sketch at Inspired By and added the theme of ‘layers’ from Just Us Girls

I started by die cutting both the wreaths from SU’s ‘wreath builder’ die set in white, and overlaying them onto an A6 card blank.

I then stamped the single flower several times in each of the challenge colours (I used Distress oxides in ‘picked raspberry’, dried marigold’ and ‘mustard seed’) and die cut them. I attached them on top of the wreaths with foam pads, trying to mix them up so they weren’t just in a symmetrical pattern!

I finished by stamping the sentiment from the SU ‘art gallery’ set in ‘dried marigold’ and die cut it into a banner, before attaching it below the wreath with foam pads.

Thanks for dropping in. I’ll be back with another card tomorrow.

  1. Deborah, I wanted to make a wreath this week! But couldn’t put my hands on the die set I had in mind – YOU had no issue with that! I love the base of white greenery, and the combination of colors for your blooms!
This is so very sweet – thanks for including it in our IB gallery, and for playing along with us!
