Hello again everyone. I’m back with a preview of the new products Barbara will have on this afternoon’s show on HobbyMaker TV, which will make your Christmas card production so easy! I’m starting with these fab Snow Globe printed toppers, which come in a variety of colours, plus moons or snowy skies! I think they’re brilliant – for this first card I pulled out the Christmas Build a Landscape stamps to find Santa in his sleigh.

The first step was to mask the base of the globe, so I could stamp my houses among the bottom edge. I simply popped a piece of low tack tape across it, drew round the shape of the globe onto the tape, cut it out and then put it back into place – so easy! I then added the houses and Santa’s sleigh in ‘thistle’ Archival ink.

Now, these toppers also some come with a snow globe shaped embedder so you can frame the image – and that’s what I did! I positioned it over the printed image using low tack tape, then flipped to the reverse. I then used the base of the Pergamano tool to push against the embedder all the way round, giving me the initial impression. I could then sharpen the crease with a small ball tool (#2) before lifting the embedder off. I also added one of the Bijou Statement sentiments to the snow globe base.

I mounted the topper onto a layer of Northern Lights paper, then attached it to a 5×5 card blank. The finishing touch was to dot snow into the sky and add snow to the houses with a white fine Posca pen.

I can see these being really popular – they’re perfect with lots of Clarity’s sets of small stamps to build Christmas scenes. Watch this space for more inspiration!
I’m going to share this with a couple of seasonal challenges, starting with the new one at AAA Christmas where their theme is ‘traditional Christmas’. It also picks up the Santa theme at Peace on Earth.
