Put on your dancing shoes

Hello crafty friends. Autumn is definitely here today (it’s been cooler and raining), but the other sign of autumn in the UK is the start of Strictly Come Dancing to take us through to Christmas! With that in mind, I put The Joy of Dance stamps into action for a bit of a boogie on the dance floor.

Keeping it in my favourite CAS style, I started with a 5×5 square of premium card and laid the outer part of the largest Moon Mask over the bottom right corner. I then lightly brushed ‘mustard seed’ Distress Oxide in from the edges, leaving it lighter in the centre.

Next was to stamp the couple and one of the sentiments in black Archival ink.

It was then an easy job to shade my jiving pair in with Pergaliner pencils. I finished by edging the topper with a black Sharpie, mounting it on a layer of Shenandoah companion paper and attaching it to a 6×6 card blank.

These stamps are well named – there is real joy in this couple, don’t you think?

I took inspiration for this one from a couple of challenges, using the tones from Color Dare and the layout from Helen’s card at AAA Cards. I’m also going to add it as another offering in the gallery at Simply Clean & Simple
