Hello crafty friends and welcome to October! There’s definitely a slight autumnal chill in the mornings now, although we’ve still got relatively warm and sunny days. I’m on the case with this month’s calendar page, putting the leaf stamps from the September Craft Club into action with some seasonal colours.

I first cut a piece of the Elements Earth card to a square for my background. Starting with the large curved leaf, I sponged ‘rustic wilderness’, ‘carved pumpkin’ and ‘candied apple’ Distress Oxides onto it to blend the colours and then stamped it into place, repeating it twice more.

I could then do the same with the other leaves in the set to create my leafy cascade.

I finished by repeat stamping ‘autumn’ from the Treescape Overlay set in the ‘rustic wilderness’, then ran a dark green Sharpie around the card edges. I mounted it onto one of the white toppers that came with the calendar and fixed it into place on October’s page.

I’m not sure how much colour we’ll get in the trees this autumn after such a dry summer – lots of the leaves have already turned brown and started falling. I even saw pine cones on the ground in August! I may just have to settle for these pretty stamped leaves for my autumnal display this year!
There are several blog challenges with an autumn theme at the moment, too, so I’m going to share my calendar page with Hand Stamped Sentiments, Allsorts, Four Seasons and Cardz 4 Guyz.
