Hello everyone. We’re into the final few hours of Clarity’s Half Price Members’ Sale and I’ve got another of my demos from Friday’s Clarity Social TV show to share with you. There’s another heatwave landing in the South East of England this week (our fourth of the year!) so this elegant lady will definitely need some fashionable shades to wear when she’s out and about in the sunshine and this pair come courtesy of the Ladies Glasses stamp set! Helpfully, the sun rays on this card don’t come with a UV warning, as they’re thanks to the Sunshine stencil.

So, I started by cutting a piece of premium card at 5 3/4 inches square and attached the stencil to it with low tack tape. I brushed ‘mustard seed’ Distress Oxide around the centre, then blended ‘squeezed lemonade’ into the outer section – the new ink blending brushes are perfect for getting into the small dots on the stencil.

I used my stencil brush to sweep the yellow ink inwards from the edges around the topper to soften the white card. Next was to stamp the glasses onto black premium card using Versamark clear ink, then heat emboss them with WOW’s white powder. I could then fussy cut them, add some scrap onto the back of the ‘lenses’ and glue them onto the stencilled sunburst.

I stamped my society lady and her pooch into place with black Archival ink, added a suitably appropriate word sticker and attached the whole piece to a 6×6 card blank.

I’m heading to central Europe in a few weeks and the temperature reports from over there are even hotter than they are here, plus the wildfires in France and other areas are really worrying. Do stay safe in the heat this week wherever you are.
